Life ain't always Beautiful...but it's a beautiful ride.

I just wanted to share this song with you, I love the lyrics. I have listened to this song alot this past year, and it has helped me to remember that life is hard, but we can make it through and come out stronger. Heavenly Father knows what we can handle, and what will make us stronger, but most of all he never leaves us alone. So remember struggles make you stronger, changes make you wise, and happiness will come.

Life ain't always beautiful
Sometimes it's just plain hard
Life can knock you down, it can break your heart

Life ain't always beautiful
You think you're on your way
And it's just a dead end road at the end of the day

But the struggle makes you stronger
And the changes make you wise
And happiness has it's own way of takin' it sweet time

[chorus]
No,life aint always beautiful
Tears will fall sometimes
Life aint always beautiful
But it's a beautiful ride

Life aint always beautiful
Some days I miss your smile
I get tired of walkin' all these lonely miles

And I wish for just one minute
I could see your pretty face
Guess I can dream, but life dont work that way

But the struggles makes me stronger
And the changes make me wise
And happiness has it's own way of takin' its sweet time

No, life aint always beautiful
But I know I'll be fine
Hey, life aint always beautiful
But its a beautiful ride
What a beautiful ride

Columbus, Ohio

Last week Mark and I went to Columbus. Mark had his annual NACA Conference and I enjoyed a much needed break away from work. We had a good time. I made a new friend while I was there. We met through our husbands. Beverly and I had a great time roaming the streets of Columbus. We did a lot of walking. Beverly and her husband Keith are from Memphis, Tennesse.
We stayed in downtown Columbus. Everything closes up when the buisness day is done. Most places are also closed on the weekend. It was a nice city, very humid.

This is the State Capitol.
We stayed at the Hyatt on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus.

There are a lot of old buildings and Churches downtown.

I Love Sundays.....

except at about 6:00pm when I realize I have to go back to work tomorrow. Today has been one of those sit back and relax days...well it was after I gave my lesson in Relief Society.
Today's lesson was from the Gospel Principles book, lesson #10 'Scriptures'. We have such great class participation that the lessons turn out pretty good. Trust me it's not me...if they had to listen to only me for 40 minutes they probably wouldn't come back. These lessons are pretty basic but help to remind us of the things that are important.

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend...
now let's have a great week.

You've gotta LOVE Spring!!!!

What a Beautiful weekend we've had...after a rainy and cold week it turned out to be the perfect weekend. Friday night we worked on the Garden at Grandma Adams house. We went to a late night movie (too late for me), we saw 'Letters to Juliet', it was good.
Saturday I got to spend the day watching Kenidee. We went plant shopping, then we came home and planted flowers. Kenidee was a great help, she especially liked playing in the dirt. We got a lot done. Amy was here, she helped keep an eye on Kenidee. Here's a little preview of what we did.

Planted the flower pots, and some more strawberries....

we even cleaned off the patio...bring on summer we're ready.
